Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, where our parent company, LUCKY Co., Ltd., is headquartered, was discovered about 1,000 years ago in Mt. This marked the beginning of the history of the city as a jewel town.

In 1834, during the Edo period, Yasuke, who was a jade merchant in Kyoto and head of Tamaya, came from Kyoto to Koshu to purchase rough stones. The making of crystal balls began with the teaching of the technique of polishing crystals with garnet.

At the end of the Edo period, most of the craftsmen moved to Kofu City, and the products were sold not only in Japan but also overseas.

In the early Meiji era, processing techniques and tools were developed, and in the mid-Meiji era, cutting of crystals for jewelry began in addition to crystal balls and ornaments. Although there were problems such as the depletion of raw stones, efforts were also made to import raw stones from overseas, and high-quality techniques were inherited.

Taking advantage of his previous career, he was one of the first to adopt computers in the jewelry industry, where it had become customary to manually manage all inventory, and achieved a dramatic improvement in performance.

In 1988, we established a factory in Dalian, China, and succeeded in increasing our production capacity, and we continue to operate stably today. In addition, with a view to overseas expansion, we have been working on the appointment of foreigners from an early stage, which is rare for small and medium-sized enterprises. I'm here.

In 2005, Naoki Mochizuki, the 3rd generation president, was appointed president at the young age of 28. Like his father Masao, he brought his previous experience in Pasona and Recruit, a different industry, to the jewelry industry. We will explore the possibilities of

In 2013, we renovated the Kofu head office building and opened Lucky Open Factory as a facility where you can experience the joy of jewelry more closely.

Based on the experience and know-how cultivated by our parent company, LUCKY Co., Ltd., we, Lucky & Company, are energetically working to revitalize local industries not only in our hometown of Yamanashi Prefecture, but also throughout Japan.
